Following the route taken by the old railway, along the Greenway, we reach the waters of the bay of Pasaia.
In this municipality, which surrounds the entire bay and is protected by enormous cliffs, a visit to the traditional tuna boat Mater and the Albaola Itsas Faktoria is a must. The former is a unique museum that offers a wide range of activities on marine culture and the marine environment. At Albaola you can see the construction of a replica of a 16th century whaler.
A visit to the old quarters
Strolling through the old quarters of Pasai Donibane and Pasai San Pedro, with their narrow-cobbled streets built between the mountain and the sea, with their unique bridge houses and historic buildings, will take you back in time. The easiest way to get from one historic quarter to the other is to take the boat across the bay!
The Puntas Way
Leaving the town centre of Pasai Donibane behind, from the church of Bonanza we can start a walk that will take us to the entrance to the Bay of Pasaia to admire the cliffs on both sides of the mouth. At the end of the path is Alabortza cove, an ideal place to rest.
Maritime activities in the Bay of Pasaia
There is another original way of getting to know Pasaia: FROM THE SEA! Trips out to sea, diving, canoe and paddle-surf board hire, boat hire with or without a skipper, there are endless options in Pasaia!
The sea flavour of Pasaia
In Pasaia you will find a wide range of bars and restaurants. There, among other things, we will have the opportunity to taste the best seafood products of unbeatable quality.
