As it does every year, in collaboration with Errenteria Town Council, the Gipuzkoa Parketxes Network has organised a series of special activities to raise awareness of and promote the natural environment of Listorreta in Errenteria, situated within the Aiako Harria Natural Park.

Its role is to restore Gipuzkoa’s wildlife, rehabilitate and treat injured animals so that they can be returned to the wild.

On Friday 17 July, the first activity will take place at 9.00 pm, when we will gain an up-close insight into the fascinating world of bats, guided by expert Lander Olasagasti. As well as providing basic explanations, special detectors will be used to listen for them, and by looking carefully at our surroundings, we may also be able to spot them. Bats are little-known flying mammals that live in our surroundings; through this session, we will discover their ecological importance to the environment. The session will be conducted in Basque and Spanish.

On 8 and 29 August, an activity has been organised to explore the Aiako Harria Natural Park. Through a short guided walk starting from Listorreta, we’ll have the chance to discover some of the treasures the park has to offer.

All activities require prior registration (943 49 42 48 – 688 895068, arditurri@gipuzkoanatura.eus).
