Fanderia Mill reveals the strength and evolution of industry in Errenteria. In fact, as early as the 15th century, the foundry was already located there, using water's power as an energy engine.
Over the years, the foundry evolved, later becoming a mill, flour, and animal feed factory until it closed in 1996.
Visitors will learn how to operate the grinding mechanism and the millstones, the mill and two videos about our cultural and fluvial heritage, and several information panels.
This centre is also the River House, the river interpretation centre for environmental and cultural heritage knowledge and conservation. Therefore, the show's main star is the river, which has been the backbone of the territory from the time of the iron industry to the current awareness that the fluvial ecosystem surrounding us today deserves.
