The history and the evolution of fashion, the best selection of original Basque costumes in a historical building
Located in the historical center of Errenteria, in a XVIIth century restored building, the Costume Center shows the evolution of clothing through the centuries and the history of fashion. It is the biggest clothing collection of Basque original costumes of Euskal Herria. Garments from the XVIIIth century until 1950.
In addition, the permanent exhibition found in two plants and composed by 40 suits is changed once a year. It also has a space for group and artisan temporary exhibitions related to the textile and an audiovisual room.

Jantziaren zentroa is a project with a double objective; on the one hand, to gather and preserve garments used by our ancestors, and on the other, to publicize and show the evolution of Basque and international clothing, the change in fashion between the 18th and 20th centuries. To achieve these objectives, permanent exhibitions, guided tours, and information on clothing are offered in the museum.
